High school student Arato Arakura lives a quiet life, always wary of danger. One day, he is suddenly attacked by a person with special powers, Kokirara, and his daily life falls apart. He is caught up in a battle between "EMO users," who are people whose strong emotions are transformed into special powers. Will Arato be able to fight through with his barrier, which has zero offensive power?
