Sasaki Mai was supposed to die in Tokyo from a terminal illness. But in her final moments, her grandmother grants her magical power and knowledge, sending her to another world. Given a second chance at life—and in good health—Mai vows not to waste this miracle. She opens a small café called The Hideaway at the far edge of the royal capital.
