Tadahiro Yasukuni arrived in the megacity of Tokyo with a vague dream in his heart. After a brutal job hunt, the only company that hired him turned out to be a monstrous 'Black Company' where power harassment and working on weekends were the norm. Barely able to sleep or even find time to eat, Tadahiro's life was wasting away—until a single phone call from his rural hometown changed everything. 'Why don't you just quit and come back home?' Encouraged by his mother’s gentle words, Tadahiro resigns and decides to embrace 'Kyukatsu'—a period dedicated to fully enjoying life without working. But just as he settles in for some peace and quiet, his elementary school cousin, Nanami, arrives to play...!? The clear country air begins to wash away the soot that the city’s bustle left on his soul. Come, let us begin the art of 'doing nothing'.
